nice contrast
Climbed up with my wife before heading to some of the nearby wineries. Really lovely easy hike, and the views over the surrounding areas were top notch. The fog over the ocean was really cool to see too.
Hike hear all the time, its close to home, and a great place to visit with a multitude of trails. The views are spectacular, from Ocean Lookout, and I love the Jack Williams Trail that walks besides the ridge. My great grandmother used to walk these trails, I like the connection to the past.

Megunticook TH to Ridge Trail
This was a warmup for my youngest son and I while on our way to the Mt Katahdin area. It seemed most people stopped at the Maiden Cliffs without actually hiking to the true summit.
didn't put in a date climed because I've done this one many, many times. I live within 30 minutes of this mountain...the trails in Camden Hills provide many a great day hike loop...you can combine trails for anything from a 2 hr hike to a 10 hr hike. None of the peaks in the area are huge...Megunticook is the biggest at 1380 but, they all offer great hikes.
This is also a wonderful place to start out new hikers. it's about 1 mile to Ocean Lookout, not too steep...and gives a great reward.
I hiked up here in summer 2006. Gorgeous views of Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay.

Great climb
This is a great spring escape from the North Maine woods. Spring comes perhaps a month earlier down in these parts. Easy climb and great views from Ocean Lookout.

Stay away - not worth it!
Hopefully that scared you off and the views will be mine, all mine! When I got home I immediately went to realtor.com to find homes for sale, and then Monster for jobs, in the area. The views were that good!

The Ocean Lookout had the best views
Date climbed was an approximation due to it being six years ago!!
I will always remember this mountain has the one I decided to do an evening hike and forget my flashlight! The view from the Ocean Lookout was 1 million times better than the view from Mount Battie!! The true summit had no view and just had a cairn in the center marking the summit. It was rather disappointing but luckily only a half mile from the Ocean Lookout which during sunset was amazing.
I got a great sunset but was very scary about walking with no flashlight at night. It is now a religion to bring a flashlight on evening hike!

Cool one
Climbed with Flanders. This one turned out to be more of a treat than I thought it would be. Neat hike up to Maiden Cliffs and then hopping rock to the summit. Easy jaunt to the Ocean Lookout where we hung out for a while. Camden Harbor is extremely picturesque. This one is so cool because there are a multitude of trails to do, you could keep coming back to this one.
