A giant lenticular settles on the summit of Mount Shasta. The Bagley fire was still burning a few miles south of me. The air was surprisingly clear, though a few tendrils of smoke are still visible. The Konwakiton Glacier is the large cascade of ice just below the massive snow patch below the summit. A sliver of the Watkins Glacier, the larger of the two patches of snow on the far right, is just visible. Sept2012.
