Mount Shasta

Looking into upper Mud Creek Canyon, the primordial heart of Mount Shasta. Geologists believe Mud Creek Canyon to be a feature left over from earlier iterations of Mount Shasta, before more recent eruptions gave the mountain its current form. The Konwakiton Glacier hangs precariously above the canyon. Oct2012.
