The register mentions a Baldwin Ridge route from the SW -- that approach looks easier. Admittedly, I went when there was still a lot of snow in the couloirs on th NE side, but boy, the snow sure made the traverse from Belknap pretty interesting. All in all, it was a very pleasant and a worthwhile mountain. I saw no one else all day till I got back to the 1st meadow at Big John. Recent avalanches have made some of the X-C routes a bit sketchy.
