The description on the main page is "Take a right (east) on CO-82 toward Twin Lakes and Independence Pass ... the Echo Canyon Trailhead is unmarked and is ... at 12.6 miles on the right."
We had a lot of trouble finding this trailhead, since there has been so much development and so there is a large number of roads branching off CO-82 in the miles after Twin Lakes. But we did find it, and it is at the address 12715 on CO-82. This road looks like someone's driveway (and it leads to a driveway), but the parking area for the trail is just 100 yards up the road. The trail proceeds up the "bad" road to the right.
The Black Cloud trailhead *is* marked, but just barely. The marking comprises a set of letters spelling out "Black Cloud" running down a small post at the entrance to the turnoff. We drove by it twice before noticing it -- be eagle-eyed!
