little advice for Italian side routes

I haven't climbed it and, of course, have no photos.
We were looking for 3 friends of ours missing after having climbed the canalone Marinelli (Jan 1st, 1980), the helicopter of Military school of Aosta brought us at about 2700m (we had to jump down already roped) then we started to climb to get the higher part, above the end of Canalone, once there we wandered (5 hours) along the wall looking for them, then we had to descend (in the dark) till Macugnaga.
