I did a snow hike of this one on July 1st of 05 and as the trail disappeared in the snow, just blazed my own way using GPS as my helper. Naomi Peak is the highest point in Cache County and was the main reason I did the hike.
Used to climb this one all the time when I lived in Logan - pictures really brought back memories. Nice work... so, when're you going to put up Gog, Magog, Cherry, etc.?
Logan is a bit far from home. If I had a week to take off for climbing, I would love to do some of the neighboring mountains. There is just so much more close to home. I'm surprised someone hasn't put up those mountains yet. Only a matter of time.
If you are attempting county highpoints in Utah, you can plan to hit Naomi Peak and Bridger Peak the same day. We did the Naomi Peak r/t from the TH in less than 3 hours, and the drive to the TH for Bridger Peak is only 13+ miles further up Logan Canyon. The Bridger Peak hike might take 2.5 hours r/t depending upon the amount of bushwhacking you do.

Untitled CommentThese are neat mountains and I would like to do more of them, but Utah is far away and there is so much more closer to home. Maybe someday.
