Thanks so much Dean for your always kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I still have some more photos to add. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words! It is conglamerate with quartzite pebbles mixed into it. There are plenty of hand and foot holds for the climbing. Thanks so much for the kind words and vote. Have a good one!
Thanks for the comments! I've made those corrections in the page and picture. And yes, unfortunately there is a little bit of graffiti there. It's not as bad as some of the other places in PA though. I also think you may be right about the sperm whale! Thanks for the vote and comments and have a good one!
It is kind of a scenery surprise as you approach it and kind of hard to understand what it's doing there, but it is awesome. Thanks for the kind words and you have a good one! Who's Boxcar Willie?
It is surprising to see such formations in my home state! But I like it! It's a really neat place though and if you're ever in the region you've gotta see it. Thanks though for your kind words and vote. Have a good one!

Untitled CommentA nicely done page for an aptly named formation.
Note on this picture you mispell conglomerate. You also don't mention the type of rock in the Overiew. You should.
Those shots of the horizontal overhanging end rock look like a sperm whale's head:
And please tell me that's not grafitti at far right in the ledge trail photo!
