Mathias, if you are not a professional photographer, I recommend you a digital camera. It's a complete freedom. All positive features far exceed the only negative one - the resolution. Now I have Olympus C-5050 and I am more than satisfied with it. It costs some 800 euros.
Hi Vid, it's good to see Hochtor at summitpost, I'm unfortunately to busy with other things to add something, though Gesaeuse is the mountain area I like at most (even more than Dachstein :-) ).
You will find time to contribute. Routes, pictures, comments. I was there only once and except Hochtor all mountains remain to be described. But enjoy first skiing and mountaineering!
