In the thick of it on P3 of...

In the thick of it on P3 of Kor-Ingalls route. Note the interesting rock on this pitch: sandstone covered in whitish calcite deposit (looks like sugar glazing....or like puke according to my wife :). The calcite is relatively hard but the calcite holds get polished to glass-like smoothness by repeated use. Second piece of pro in this picture is the lowest of three bolts (December 25, 2004).

Moab but no biking?

Looks like a tough crack climb, great colors and all your other pictures are very scenic. Impressive stuff, sure beats the ice skiing here in OR :-)

Actually I think we were the only ones not biking there this time of year as there were no other climbers within earshot on either of the two rotues we did....in fact did not see a soul all day long on this one (no complaints :)
