Mt Bertha--Fairweather Range

Mt Bertha--Fairweather Range

Mt. Bertha is abut 10,200 feet tall. The Fairweather Range are the tallest coastal range in the world. During the Little Ice Age moist storms blowing off the Pacific dumped huge amounts of snow as the air rose to go over the Fairweather Range. The result was massive glaciers that over the course of the next several hundred years created Glacier Bay.
