Very addicitive. "Compulsion" is mentioned in "Freedom of the Hills" in "There are qualities to mountaineering that bring inspiration and joy in a pursuit that is more than a pastime, more than a sport a passion, certainly, and sometimes a compulsion."
I hit 100 distinct peaks last year, on Blanca, and it's a pretty nifty milestone, for sure. Hoping to hit 200 sometime next summer, with a few 14ers left to tag, so maybe we'll meet up somewhere in the high country...

Congratulations on your milestone!And an interesting story as well! 430 miles makes for a long drive each way but it obviously was worth it! Kinda addictive isn't it?
