Wow,, was it overhanging and how big was it? We saw some big blocks of snow come down in a hurry.

Not nearly as large as the cornice next to the black dike, but large enough to cause some serious problems for any climbing party unfortunate enough to get hit by it. Also, we spoke to a group that climbed the CMC on fri. 8th and while they were on the wall a large portion of that same cornice broke, and fell behind them. Makes for an interesting time!

CorniceWe climbed the CMC on the 9th of aug. and wondered about that cornice as we quickly climbed below it. Happy to hear everybodys timing was good.
