Late June on Rainier
My father, brother, a family friend and I decided to make another attempt at the summit of Rainier. This year we chose the Emmons-Winthrop approach. The snow conditions were ideal, most of the crevasses were completely covered over and there was very little scree to have to climb in our plastic boots. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us (again) and we had 70mph winds at Camp Schurman which blew my dad off his feet. Here are some pics from the climb.
