Beautiful ...

The Nisqually has "changed its course" quite
often in the last 100 years, usually reaching flood-stage during the month of October.

My dad used to fish for salmon and pick
blackberries along its banks when he was a
kid growing up in nearby Tacoma.

It really is! This particular section was just on the other side of the cottage we stayed in while in visiting Mt. Rainier.

Past flood damage was definitely still visible everywhere along its banks.
