Mt. Rainier looms over...

Mt. Rainier looms over eruption-scoured 5,000-ft summits north of Mt. St. Helens in this photo taken from Goat Mountain to the SSW on Feb. 26, 2005. Don't expect to see no snow on these peaks in February ordinarily. The mid-ground peaks are (L to R): Minnie Peak, Pt. 5000+ (dark pyramid closer to camera), Mt. Venus (in front of Rainier), and "Coldwater Peak" (Pk 5720+ west of St. Helens Lake). The barren foreground ridge is the east end of the Toutle Mountain Range.
