Another route ...Do you know about the (supposedly closed) trail due south down from Sombroso -- then up to the Umunhum-Thayer ridge, that joins up with the Soda Springs trail road?

Re: Another route ...YES! This photo was actually taken from that trail. It's really overgrown, and my friend and I only made it about halfway between El Sombroso and Thayer. I figure with a little bushwacking, the trail is possible.
