My Feet Before they Got Worse

My Feet Before they Got Worse

Keep in mind, this is the PG edition. In one of my other photos there is blood. Taken July 6, 2013 on the Ptarmigan Traverse.

Re: ouch

Plastic boots. I still love my plastics but realize either I'm going to need to wear another layer of socks or use them for less days.

Re: ouch

I like using liner socks, and then really thick mountaineering socks. I prefer leather boots:)

Wow

I can't believe any boot could cause so much damage. I won't allow the slightest hot spot on my feet before I am freaking out. Any scree/sand or snow gets in my boots (if I am gaiterless) and I clean them out and put on fresh socks. Maybe they are too small? I feel for you! That looks so painful.

Re: Wow

The boots are not too small. They are actually slightly too big. A climbing friend recommend I do that for the down hill. The padding is actually what did it on the sides. Hours after this picture was taken the worst one was actually from an exploding tree. Fortunately it wasn't on my feet. I had to hobble around the house after this trip was done.
