Re: gutsy kidThanks much! It's funny, my son and daughter often fight over who gets to hold whatever creepy-crawly we find first. They have a pet snake (gopher) and had a tarantula so they're pretty comfortable around that kind of stuff. They especially like millipedes.

If they ever come down to AZ, I want to give a fore-warning: It's not COOL to pick up
scorpions and centipedes. They both have a
very terrible sting, as I can detest to after living in the desert for 15 years. Awesome!!!

We have some of those giant centipedes and small scorpions up here, too, but they are more difficult to come by than they are down in your area and we have to drive out of town and go looking for them so we don't have to worry about them coming in the house like you do. The kids know the rule that they don't touch anything until daddy tells them it's OK. I've tried to teach them to be cautious but not scared of little critters.
