Nameless Falls On Slickrock Walls?
Nameless red walls, flowing water and desert plants greet the hiker on
the SE side of Courthouse Butte, approximately 1.2 miles from the Munds
Mountain Wilderness boundary.
The water flows from an unnamed spring tucked away in a canyon on the south
side of 6,592' Lee Mountain.
I wouldn't trust this water for drinking purposes, though domestic dogs
and coyotes quench their thirst at this popular watering hole.
If you're looking for solitude, just follow the wash eastward towards
a prominent sandstone spire. And, be careful when it's muddy, because
you might get bogged down in the mire.
