North East Face Couloir
Ian Hunt and I climbed the right hand (northern) couloir on the North-East Face. Fun route, we had snow all the way up, including a tough exit of about 5.5/5.6, for about 40 metres on wet, snowy and loose rock. Descent via scramble route.

Narao Peak
Made this a fast day compared to most reports. Still relatively dry conditions for October, despite being a north ridge. Incredible views looking down at the Watch Tower, sight of my recent climbing debacle. HUGE TREAT ON DESCENT....treed a marten (weasel-related to mink/fisher)(not on purpose of course) and tried in vain for 5 minutes to get a photo. Thought I surely had one, got home, nothing but a fur ball. Very shy. Growled the whole time. I felt guilty after a while and left him/her alone. Great oportunity to experience a marten up close.
