Waaaay better than expected!

We almost did not do this hike due to the pictures and description: The pictures and commentary definitely do not do this hike justice! A last minutes decision to evade the smoke from the Swan valley made for an impressive hike up (and down) two mountains. Lucky for us, Lake and Nasukoin Mountains are considerably more powerful in person than pictures. The gravel road in the fall is easily navigable to the trailhead. The trail is class 2 with some nice inclines and, once achieving the Lake Mtn ridgeline, a superb panoramic view of the Whitefish range. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable hike!!
