Proposed hiking route w/ possible scramble for the NE Face of Alex Lowe Peak (10,031, Gallatin Range, MT). This all off-trail, though as the picture shows non-technical. At a recent slideshow and book reading (2008) in Bozeman, Jennifer Lowe-Anker described this as a wonderful hike.

approach variation

Instead of hiking through the boggy bottom of this bowl, skirt around from looker's left and enter the estimated route about 4 switchbacks from the bottom of the blue line. This is best done by leaving the down trail about 4 switchbacks below the B'more/Elephant saddle. Additionally, you can wait to attain the ridge a little closer to the summit.
