Great!This is a very unusual landscape. I like the darkness of the lakes contrasting with surrounding rocks and snow.

When I arrived at the base of the switchbacks for my final night, around 1,600 feet below from where this photo was taken, I looked around me and got spooked. It was a strange sensation, like being in a different world. Hitchcock Lakes Basin is not visible from where I camped, but as I slowly made my way up the mountain, it came into view. I was too nervous to take a picture initially, not until I had the confidence I was going to make it out okay.
