An unusual namefor a mountain? Surely a snow-covered butterfly isn't doing too well.

Re: An unusual nameTrue. I don't know the origin of the name, but like to think that the link is that they are both beautiful. Probably just a thought.
I did't see any butterflies up there, nor in the valleys below for that matter - although that may have been because I was too much in awe from the big peaks to notice them. However, there were no trees and few flowers, so not exactly the right place for them.
By the way, the same mountain is also called Santa Catalina. Curious, to say the least. I mean, it's not uncommon for a mountain in Peru to have more than one name, but that's usually one name in Spanish and another in, say, Quechua, or one of the other old native languages.
