Nevado Sepregina

There are many peaks around Colca Canyon, and this one dominates the northern views for quite some time. According to my very old map, it is 5432m high. The contours on Google maps place it between 5440 and 5460. On a direct line, it's about 13km north east of Cabanaconde, which itself lies almost at 3300m. However, to get there, first you'll first have to descend a thousand meters or so into Colca Canyon, and so, even with proper acclimatization, I estimate it would take three days or so to get up there. It looked inviting, but I didn't try it. 8 May 2011.
