Wow!Nuclear-tipped anti-aircraft missiles launched from the ridges above San Francisco. Sounds like the cure would have been almost as bad as the disease...
Wonder what folks in Northern California and Southern Oregon thought about this?

Re: Wow!This is just one of several old Nike sites around the Bay Area. All on ridges or hills. I suppose you could google around and find out the answer to your question.
