No Cars Go

With the Many Glacier Entrance Road melted out but closed to vehicle traffic, my girlfriend and I biked from the park boundary to the hotel on a beautiful April day. After seeing another couple and one ranger at the parking area, we did not see a soul for the rest of the day. Quite the solitary Many Glacier experience. Grinnell Point is at center. Immediately to the left, the Salamander Glacier sits high atop the Garden Wall, with the upper reaches of famed Grinnell Glacier visible below. Altyn Peak stands prominently to the right, and Allen Mountain's twin summits can be seen on the far left (the right summit is the tallest). April 21, 2012
