Nice climb
Route as described. No problems finding the secondary 4WD path off the main Wheeler 4WD trail. Much less willow-whacking than I had expected. Exit at the top had no cornice - small bulge easily passed to the left or right. Class 3 on the ridge to the top was very obvious and easy to follow. Any harder/more exposed moves could easily be passed to on the right side of the ridge, if so inclined. Descent into the Lincoln ampitheater, stayed on to the right, easy lines down. Followed the winter ice climbing walk-off to the left once you hit the waterfall after the terminal moraine. There is a cairn marking the start of the walk-off.

Wet Snow
Snow was not perfect, but manageable. Surprised to see two boarders from Breck following us up the route. We were up and down at a late hour (topped out at 12), and the boarders started their descent at 2:30pm, causing a small avalanch, but made it down safely. Long day through the willows.

Nice and secluded
Climbed this route in June (not sure of the exact day) and had it all to ourselves. A nice secluded snow climb on a moderate slope leads to the upper North Ridge; a great way to summit Democrat.

Great snow climb
Great climb - we went directly up the center of the face, as opposed to over in the "couloir". Fun at the bottom getting up an "interesting" gully, and excellent to be out in the middle of a wide, sweeping face. Came down the E. Ridge and then north into the cirque. Highly amusing to find an ancient outhouse in excellent shape standing in the valley. The valley is beautiful and quiet...
I thoroughly enjoyed this climb. The snow was perfect until about half way up the couloir where the sun still had not hit. There the snow was rock hard (killer calf workout).
