Lacking any description in guidebooks or on the web (outside of a tantalizing reference planted by SPers ScottyS and bearbnz), I’d long been intrigued by this route. My friend Ishun and I had made an attempt last October, a few weeks before she passed away; we’d turned back after observing substantial fresh snow remaining on the route and realizing we’d underestimated the approach distance from Leavitt Meadows... so to return this fall and explore the route for her had special significance for me.
