Nice page, realistic description!!!
Always when i eat Toblerone chocolate, i thinking about Matterhorn, because Matterhorn is printed on the package, hahaha...
My congratulations to your high 1. position on member photo list and to your nice photos.
All the best!
Greetings from Belgrade (Serbia),
A very nice page. Complete and detailed.
All necessary informations, very well done!
A good mountain report. I added also still something. On a good co-operation.
Would like to see a gear list.
Like how many bolts and cams, etc? How long of a rope/diameter?
And are crampon compatible boots really necessary or can you just use the other form of strap on crampons?
is an 8.1mm rope to thin for the hornli route?
Here is a good comparison of UIAA and YDS grades. Like all comparisons, it is not exact.
There is also a written description of PD, AD, etc.
Alpine Grades and comparisons
Remember that rock difficulty is given for dry conditions. Good dry conditions are rare on the Matterhorn, so you should be able to climb comfortably at the grade wearing crampons.
Thanks for the great page. I was wondering if I could post the link to a very detailed high quality footage film about the Matterhorn in 2013.
I have added the link under the external links section - thanks for the tip.
