A little further down the trail to the tent platforms, about .2 of a mile, is an unmarked side trail leading up the ridge to the east. This is Stratton View tenting area. There are no platforms in this area but there is plenty of level ground and a privy.
Stayed here Memorial Day weekend 2004. Very nice area. Very clean.
