Great job with what you've got so far! I'm sure the route info will be great going by your past additions to summitpost. Great job and good climbing to you!
This is a neat mountain range and with the snow on it, it was so inviting to visit. Unfortunately, they had more snow than normal and even snowshoeing (according to a local) was not advisable for a few weeks until everything consolidated (as of 2-3-05) I'll definitely be back to re-visit the area and the peak.
The link to the "Weather Forecast for Signal Peak" appears to be bad and gives a message "latitude out of range". Please fix this if you can, we're planning to go in two weeks. Thanks!
Just a couple of quick items. If you're northbound on I-15 there's no exit 23. Take exit 22 and go north through Leeds to Silver Reef Rd. After ~ 1 mile Silver Reef Rd. now becomes Oak Grove Rd. but the 8.6 mile distance is spot on so just continue straight. The road becomes gravel at 1.4 miles but was in good shape 11/8/09 and didn't require 4X4 or high clearance. There's also a restroom at the trailhead/campground.
Nearby Burger peak is a better destination IMO. The peak itself is a block of rock which provides views (signal peak is in the trees). I used the Blake gubler trail which I believe is the shorest route (TH is over 7000 ASL
If you would like, you could post a page for Burger Peak. There isn't one on this website and it would be nice if more mountains in the area had pages.
