Eagle falls and Bayview campground can get extremely crowded with day trippers and day hikers, many of them doing day hikes to eagle falls and eagle lake in summer afternoons. I suggest doing the trip in spring or fall, or in the morning before the crowds set in, and be sure to set a secure parking space or mode of transportation.

Questionable fee policy

As of summer 2022, The Bayview Trailhead requires a $10 day use fee. "It's not a parking fee, it's a use fee", exclaimed the third party concession employee guarding the entrance to the trailhead. This seemed a bit sketchy to me. To avoid such nonsense, you can park on the road and just skirt through the woods on the side of the hill and join up with the trail just beyond the parking lot, out of sight. Seems ridiculous (illegal?) to charge walk-ins to access a trail on national forest land. Where does this money go??
