North approach

My girlfriend and I (and our dogs) attempted to approach Ear Mountain from the Ear Mountain Outstanding Natural Area trailhead on the South Fork of the Teton Road, north of the peak via Yeager Flat. Though we never saw the south approach, this approach is very long, two miles on a trail and at least two or three more of bushwhacking before you can reach the base. We bailed when we got to Yeager Flat after realizing how far it is. If you attempt it from the north it can be done, but be prepared for a long day!
