Plenty of Colorado climbers forget about this key objective hazard: Poison Ivy. Some folks are lucky enough to not react to the chemicals in this plant, the urushiol secreted by Poison Ivy causes a nasty, festering rash for many of us.

Steve,

Strangely enough, I was fine with poison ivy as a kid. It's as I got older that I've developed a sensitivity to it! Now I get a terrible rash if I even LOOK at it!
