Did this with my wife and absolutely loved it. Got to see some bighorn sheep through some binoculars, as well. Rained a bit at the top but didn't last long. Long but easy hike.
Well worth the hike up.
11/15/15: With Michael.
04/27/17: Fun hike. Did Weeping Rock and Hidden Canyon on the way.
Beautiful hike with amazing vistas. Saw a couple desert bighorns on a steep precipice close to the trail switchbacks. Out-of-staters were blown away.
Favorite hike in Zion.
A great hike, but if climbing in summer, better to start in the mornings or late afternoon as the heat starts to die down.
Fun afternoon hike, fantastic views from the top. 4 hours round-trip.
What a great hike through some beautiful parts of Zion!
November 2008 and November 2013. Both times it rained. Beautiful view of the Angels Landing!
Great morning hike, beautiful watching the sun rise over the canyon and fantastic, clear views at the top. Round trip took just under 2.5 hours.
It's got it all. Precipitous drops, beautiful slot canyons, sweeping panoramic views. Perfect weather today.
the trail via echo canyon and up the switch backs is a testament to park service and the folks who cut and maintain.
Did this trail late in the day to try and get shots at Golden Hour. Great hike. Views of Zion Canyon are unreal. Worth it. Enjoy the slot canyons about halfway up.
I vetoed Angel's Landing (THOUSAND FOOT DROP OFFS, GUYS), so this was my first Utah adventure. It hurt my poor, sea-level lungs. I dangled my feet off the ledge as I ate the M&Ms that my friend picked out of his trail mix. It was so perfect!
The view is spectacular from the top! The area in Echo canyon is scrum didily umptious! I am just going to put it out there, this hike is fantastic! However if you had to pick between this and Angels Landing, pick the Angel. If you fear heights, go for Observation.
Great part of our hunnymoon and my husbands first trip to Zion :)
First highpoint of my spring trip to Zion. Hit Hidden Canyon and Weeping Rock on the way down. Here's to many more!
Started my morning in Zion by going up the trail. Great view and a fun trip.
I hiked this with my wife and two daughters (aged 9 and 7). We all really enjoyed it. The scenery was great the whole time. Echo Canyon was my favorite part. It's really a spectacular trail, especially how it is carved into the cliff face. One of my all time favorite hikes in Utah.
