Obsolete Road On Lyman Hill

Obsolete Road On Lyman Hill

One of many old forest roads located on Lyman Hill, the 36th-most prominent peak in Washington. This particular road (possibly a railroad grade) was found by accident at approximately 2900' elevation while traversing up the western slopes of the mountain, and obviously the road had not been used by any motorized traffic for many years. I found no evidence of that road's existence on any of my maps, which helped to show just how old and defunct that passageway must have been. Photo taken on February 8, 2010.
