Off the main trail...

We used a guide book that tells you to follow Rock Creek instead of staying on the well trodden trail. We tried this route, and it became ugly- lots of dead fall. I would recommend two ways to this mountain: stay on the road which runs along Rock Creek, or use St Vrain Mountain Trail that forks off Ski Road. Much more straightforward than our route.
