Old Piton

Gerald and Ferdl come across an old piton in place, presumably from the original forays by the East German team from the 1950s. Other pitons were found both on Saddle Mountain and on Arapit of more recent vintage, old titanium examples which the Albanians had gotten from the Chinese after the regime had broken with the Russians and the East Germans had become personna non grata.
