Old school rock climbing

I'm doing "Diamond Dogs" (5.10a) in Joshua Tree here in old Fabiano boots, back in about 1982 - before I could afford a rope... Not a great photo but it is old school, you have to admit.

70' in Josh must have been nice. I was still backeast climbing in the Gunks and Adirondacks, mostly wearing Kronhoffers. After the first time I wore the 3 stripe Fires Bachar brought in I never climbed in those klunk old boots if I didn't have to.

Still ever get out to Josh..?

Thanks. Truth is, now that I am older and looking back, I wish I had been more diligent about taking pictures. Mostly, I was just focused on the climbing and did not care. Now I always carry a camera...
