Olympus, Christmas Eve 2011.
Did Olympus. Again. This time on Christmas Eve, 2011. Olympus has proven to be a great trail/summit while the higher elevations in the Wasatch are still waiting for a decent snowpack for back country skiing. (Chomping at the bit, I know...)
This is looking south west over the Salt Lake Valley at the Oquirrhs, the mine, and Dessert Peak in the distance. Fortunately we had a very minor storm which blew out all the inversion layer a couple days back. Photo taken 12-24-2011, at about 9:30 a.m.
Some guy was dressed up like Santa Claws on the lower trail this morning...
