Not one of my most intelligent moments. If you want to get away from it all, take the Alaska ferry to Cordova (with your car), drive to the end of the road outside of Cordova along the Copper River and find yourself near the boundaries of the Wrangell-St Elias national park near abandoned copper mines that were once the richest in the world. The 1964 earthquake helped put an end to those activities and now it is pure wilderness and one of the greatest places to see bird migrations in the world.
