Scotland's winter alpine scrambling is a lot of fun. You get sun, wind, snow, ice, rain and fog combined with a little mud and a few bogs, all in one day (one hour?). Pen loves the Scottish mountains and we both think the scenery is some of the best found anywhere. But one needs a very good rain gear and the compass is not optional either.
