Re: photo of the week...Strange that, re the exposure. I was walking with a lovely lady who takes me on great walks in that area. We did two days that trip, both days with some exposure, in situations that would normally be marginal for me because of vertigo, (from which I can suffer very badly). Not a hint of it for the entire two days! Could only be the confidence she gives me when she leads me on a walk.

Windy and LovelyYes. There was a wind blowing the low cloud base most of the day Mike. We went up via Ringing Roger Charles. The direct "scramble" route, which even for me was very easy. On grit stone rock, could be called "grip stone"it's so lovely and secure to walk on.
The Peaks are lovely walking, but for the life of me I don't know why they are called Peaks. Great flat topped masses of rock, with loads of Edges, (vertical rock cliffs), as per the one in the photo, which I'm told you climbers love!
