On the run!

On the run!

Little Diamond Peak, Lemhi range Idaho. Brad descending into the washing machine. Low visibility and intense wind gusts forced our retreat half way through the enchainment.

Re: Enchainment

Not much to tell, On the 10th of June, we were trying to link the four peaks that form the cirque in the head of Bunting creek; Black and White peak, Nicholson peak, Peak 10,965 and Little diamond peak. On the approach thru the canyon we hiked miles in relative calm but the clouds being ripped apart as they collided with the summits didn’t go unnoticed. We put Black and White under our feet but by the time we reached the top of little Diamond, the weather completely closed in. We bailed off down the face and made a run for the canyon in wind gusts that literally knocked us on our asses several times. Another beautiful day in the Lemhi’s.
