Brown Knapweed (Centaurea jacea - Polish: Chaber) is a species in the genus Centaurea, growing on dry meadows and open woodlands. It grows to 10–80 cm tall, and flowers mainly from June to September. The Bieszczady Mountains – Poland - September 16, 2014.
