Not a geologist,...

but I have climbed on rocks like this. We called them conglomerate rock.

I am not one either but I always thought of conglomerate rock as something like what is seen in this pictures:

http://www.summitpost.org/boulders-blocking-the-wash/886568, which looks like rocks encased in concrete.

I had never seen any rock like the black and white one shown here, probably is conglomerate.
