I'm so glad...

...that you did this nice tour in such a perfect weather, and also in a 'pure manner' - without a cable car :)

Wonderful pictures too! Must rearrange Monte Sart / Zrd page.

Re: I'm so glad...

I was not so glad about the pure manner, at least when descending the ski run. It seemed it would never end. As for the pictures - this is my favourite because of the depth it reveals. It shows the jumbled character of the Altopiano perfectly. Judith was quite annoyed with my stopping 100m after leaving the summit and taking even more pictures :-)

Comprehensive review

with a firework of superb photos.
Thanks for sharing - it incites me to explore this region hitherto completely unknown to me.

Nice colouring

Your pictures always have typical colours and are very focused. I wonder how you do it. Looks like a rugged part of the alps.

Re: Nice colouring

The trick is using a pol filter. It reduces stray light significantly, thus making colors seem more intense. If you're interested - About a year ago I wrote an article about this

The Julian Alps are indeed a vrey rugged mountain range but this part (the Italian one) is far less rugged than the eastern Slovenian one.
