"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Route Climbed: Trail from Icehouse Canyon Date Climbed: November 27, 2005A cold and windy day. I thought I was going to remove layers shortly after leaving the car, but not only did I keep them all on, I added a parka on the summit! Strong Santa Anas cleared out almost all the smog, so I got a clear view of the whole Inland Empire/LA Basin. How often does that happen? Nobody around until I reached Icehouse Saddle on the way down, then about 50 people day hiking. Ugh. Great views, better than Baldy if you're looking south. Would have tagged Cucamonga, but I promised my wife I'd be home for lunch. Oh, well. Got Bighorn Peak at least.

Route Climbed: Icehouse Canyon Date Climbed: July 03, 2005This is my favorite peak in this area. Didn't see a soul untill Kelly Camp on the way back. I was fighting the last of something more than a cold so it kinda wore me out. There was still some snow just below the summit so I could chill my water bladder before I came back down. A beautiful day on an awsome local peak!!!

Route Climbed: Icehouse Date Climbed: 1993-nowOne of my favorite peaks. The summit area and views is one of the best in the range. It is also a good peak to add with climbs of Bighorn and Sugarloaf.
